A play on genre of “the portrait” using what is traditionally a woman’s craft. This is hand-stitched appliqué pieced together. Some of the fabrics I have botanically dyed, with things like: indigo, onion skins, walnut shells, and quebracho moreno. The remainder are scrap fabrics.
